GENERAL INFORMATION
In 2026, the splash! Festival will once again be cashless. This means that, on site, you can conveniently pay either with the chip on your wristband or at the stalls by debit or credit card (VISA & Mastercard) as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. You receive the RFID chip at the wristband exchange at the entrance. It can serve as your digital wallet, if you wish.
You can load money onto your chip both before and during the event and then pay quickly and conveniently on the festival grounds. This gives you not only a straightforward and convenient means of payment, but also a constant overview of all your transactions and expenditures. After the festival, you can reclaim your remaining balance online. However, we recommend that you already set up a Cashless account on our website before the event. This is simple, convenient and free of charge, and allows you to top up your balance in advance.

Load Your Cashless Balance in Advance and Skip the Wait at Top-Up Stations Onsite!
► Visit: CREATE CASHLESS ACCOUNT! and create your cashless account
► Enter your email address and click "Continue."
► Fill in your first and last name, date of birth, email address, and create a password.
► Accept the Terms and Conditions and click "Submit."
► Enter the code you received from your ticket provider and click "Submit.
► Choose an amount (e.g., €40.00) + "Top Up" to add money to your cashless account
► Tip: We recommend topping up online before the festival to avoid unnecessary waiting onsite!
► Select a payment method and click "Pay."
► The balance will be credited to your account and linked to your festival wristband at the entrance.

Here’s a quick overview for you:
- Refunds for leftover balance through your virtual account can be requested within the first eight weeks after the event.
A small fee is charged for specific transactions. This fee covers the costs of staff, transaction fees, help desk, online support and logistics.
- Top up your cashless account online via Debit/Credit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay: Free
- Top up with a debit/credit card at an on-site cashless payment terminal: Free
- Topping up / reloads online via PayPal: there is a fee of 1.80 euros per transaction
- Activating your chip online starting July 2, 2026 (or at the on-site cashless stations): 1.50 euros one-time activation fee
- Refund: requests via your virtual account within the first 8 weeks are free of charge.
No, the festival is completely cash-free. You cannot use cash on the festival grounds. However, alongside the cashless wristband chip, you can use regular contactless payment methods such as debit cards, credit cards (Visa and Mastercard), Apple Pay, and Google Pay directly at all bars and food stands.

- On-site, head to the helpdesk for immediate assistance. The helpdesk hours will be posted there. You can find the helpdesk opposite the ticket tent.
The chip on your wristband can serve as your digital wallet at the festival if you wish. Here’s how to add money:
- Before the event online: Set up your cashless account ahead of time. It’s the easiest way to top up! We recommend using a credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. (For PayPal, a fee of 1.80 euros applies per transaction). Enter your ticket's barcode number, choose the amount, and pay. When you arrive, you’ll get your wristband and the credit is immediately available.
- During the event on-site: You can load your chip at the on-site cashless payment stations using your debit card, credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
- Online during the event: Your chip has a QR code. Scan it with your phone to go straight to your digital top-up page. Enter the amount and payment method, and your chip is loaded instantly.
TIP!! You don’t have to register your chip online, but we highly recommend it! It’s crucial if you lose your wristband or want to track your spending and request a fast refund after the festival.
Min/Max Top-Up Amounts: There’s no minimum amount you have to load. You can load up to €250.00 per month on your chip.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal (online). You can use the self-service stations on-site or your online festival account.
How to Get a Refund: You can request a refund for any leftover balance through your cashless account within eight weeks after the festival.
- Keep your chip until you get your refund.
- Log into your cashless account, click "Withdraw" under your transactions, and complete the prompt.
- After the 8-week period, you must request your refund via email to cashless@splash-festival.de with your bank details and chip number.
Is It Safe? Absolutely! Weezevent Germany GmbH is our partner and handles the cashless system securely. Your money on the chip is totally safe, and Weezevent complies with all legal data regulations and privacy rules.

What About My Data? Transactions are recorded to maintain a proper accounting process, but your personal data remains securely protected within your account in accordance with GDPR and is never shared with third-party sponsors.
Tracking Movements: No, the chips do not have GPS capabilities. They are strictly used for secure payment processing.
